an elevated “tembachur” and general evening chaos….

October 23, 2009

Graysen looked flushed and was super crabby right before dinner. Instinctively, I reached over and felt his forehead. Then, for confirmation, I went searching for the forehead thermometer, which hadn’t seen any use this season…until tonight.

All told, we took Gray’s “tembachur” at least 6 times tonight, with the other kids taking turns checking on him.

Meanwhile, there was much ado about homework, including the realization that Mira’s English teacher corrected her misspelling of the word “tongue” with yet another misspelling.

Mira had approximately three to four hours of homework tonight…I will blog at some point soon about how much I despise homework. In the meantime, thous shalt not take pictures of Mira in the evening and…she was up till 10 typing her revised paper.

Before all was said and done, however, there was ice cream.

Now, the house is hushed…although I did just hear Graysen cough.
Looks like it’s time to buckle in for the ride on the flu coaster…this could be a bumpy one.
